Burn More Fat By
Sleeping

Believe it
or not, one of the most important parts of any fat loss routine
is making sure that you get enough rest! Rest is equally if not
more important than your exercise routine. This is because
exercising with any degree of intensity will result in small
stress injuries or muscle tears.
The body
responds to these injuries and tears by repairing them to be
even stronger than they were before. This repetition of tearing
down and rebuilding your muscles results in larger, leaner and
stronger muscles. Building these muscles will also help you
burn fat and keep your body lean.
Of course,
for the tearing down and rebuilding process is dependent upon
significant periods of rest. If you don't get enough rest, your
bodies won't have enough time to properly repair your muscles
which could lead to more significant injuries. Most people
believe that the more exercise you get, the higher your fat
loss rate will be.
The truth
is that if you don't get out of your own way and let your body
repair itself, the only results you will see will be poor
results. The fat won't burn off the way you want it to and you
will be more likely to get frustrated and give up on the
process altogether.
When you
don't get enough sleep each night and don't spend enough time
resting, you will have a harder time building up the muscles
that will help you burn fat and then transform your body's
appearance. This means that the fat burning process will be
harder as well. This is why working out at a proper intensity
level should never be done too often or for too
long.
When you
follow an intense exercise routine, you can't do the exact same
routine every day. Doing so will over train your body and your
body won't be able to properly recover from the exercise. You
could weaken your immune system, making it easier to get sick.
In fact, many people who try to do too much too often will
usually find themselves out of commission with the flu—it's
their body's way of forcing them to take the time to let their
muscles heal properly.
You need to
give yourself more than a night to let your body repair your
muscles. The entire process usually takes about two days (or
more), so it is best to give yourself between one and three
days of rest between intense exercise routines. Many exercise
exper's advocate one day of intense exercise followed by a day
of rest and then another day of easy
exercise.
It is also
vitally important that you get enough sleep each night. Sleep
is the best tool for a proper recovery. Not only does it help
your body repair itself, it helps your mind recover from the
stress you feel during the day. An adult body needs between
seven and nine hours of sleep each night. Any less or more will
interrupt a proper sleep cycle and leave you feeling lethargic
during the day, which will make it harder to keep up your diet
and exercise routines.
